Sweet and Sour Pork (菠萝咕咾肉)
Chunks of pineapple, carrot, pork and pickles (!) in a sweet and sour sauce. The pickle was a surprising addition to the dish that managed to work quite well.
At one time Chen Cheung Kui had a fair degree name recognition in Hong Kong, but hasn’t been high on the radar for some years now. It is still one of the best deals on afternoon tea in Causeway bay. Serves up Hakka favorites in a comfortable yet unpretentious setting.
The restaurant is located on the seventh and eighth floors of the Causeway Bay Plaza 1 Building. The entrance to the building is conveniently located right next to the Causeway Bay “B” MTR exit at the intersection of Hennessey and Percival.
