This out-of-the-way restaurant is a refreshing change of pace from the standard vegetarian restaurants in Beijing. No neon English sign advertises its existence, just a big yellow sign in Chinese that reads "smoke-free dining." The interior is decorated in Tibetan style with some beautifully painted furniture lurking in dark corners. Not the place to bring a rowdy crowd of friends, the main dining area is extremely quiet and houses a large Buddhist shrine on the far wall. The entire front of the shop is a bookstore specializing in Buddhist texts and books on Buddhism (in Chinese) are also offered at the door for free.
