Lotus seeds straight from the plant have to be a rare treat for most foreign diners. Sure the dry-ice is over the top, but the feeling of tearing into the lotus plant, extracting, then tasting the seed is a unique experience. This is one of several rotating complimentary starters however - so don't be too disappointed if you get stuck with the "Mysterious Watermelon".
