Tonight I went to one of dianping‘s highest rated Sichuanese restaurants in the greater Wudaokou area called Spice Spirit.
It’s located on the 6th floor of the brand new U-Center and can only be accessed directly by the elevator on the north side of the building (the side facing Chengfu Lu. My dining companion was the IUP student who had been subletting in my absence - he is also a programmer, so we talked shop for a while. He was a big fan of the taro pork ribs, I’m just not a fan of pork ribs unless they come in BBQ form.
I thought the food was easily the best Sichuan food in the greater Wudaokou area, but the kung pao chicken failed to surpass that of Guolin Homestyle‘s.
